As 2025 comes to a close, we look back on another impactful year for Health Innovation Netherlands (HI-NL), marked by strong collaboration, insightful discussions, and a shared commitment to advancing Medtech innovation.

Throughout the year, we completed many Round Tables trajectories across medical domains including oncology, radiology, nephrology, orthopaedics, and immunotherapy. Examples of the diverse innovations we’ve supported with our Round Table trajectories in 2025 include:

  • STING, an innovative needle-positioning system to improve the accuracy of lung cancer biopsies, developed by Syntric Medical in collaboration with Radboudumc.
  • The Dynamic Arteriovenous Fistula, a novel vascular access approach for dialysis patients, developed by XS Innovations together with LUMC and TU Delft.
  • Apollo SmartGAD, an AI-based MRI workflow solution aimed at reducing contrast agent use, developed within the SECURO collaboration between Cerebriu and Amsterdam UMC.

Many of the Round Table trajectories were supported by grants from the Health~Holland TKI-LSH Match Call program, and we are happy to announce that the Round Table service is eligible to be to be incorporated in KWF Proof of Concept (PoC) Programme projects in 2026 (click for more information).

In parallel with our Round Table activities, HI-NL remained actively engaged in the broader Medtech and Health ecosystem. We contributed to events such as the Dag van de Medische Hulpmiddelen, the Innovation for Health conference in Rotterdam, and the TechMed Centre Experience at the University of Twente, connecting with innovators, clinicians, policymakers and industry representatives across the Netherlands.

With a strong foundation in place and continued trust from our partners, HI-NL is on track for 2026. A large number of new Round Table trajectories already has been confirmed for the coming year, and we look forward to advancing our role and driving progress in health innovation.
