Successful HI-NL case team meeting

News Other

Yesterday HI-NL organized a HI-NL case team meeting with useful insights, clear updates, and good exchange between members from several HI-NL case teams. The discussions and great energy once again showed the value of sharing experiences across case teams.

On the agenda were the following topics:

  • An update on HI-NL: review of ongoing and upcoming HI-NL tracks by Maroeska Rovers
  • Peer learning: sharing insights and experiences from specific cases, including presentations by Xavier Pouwels, Nora Franzen, Mike Kusters, and Thea van Asselt.
  • AI and Medtech developments: Carl Moons presented on "the (r)evolution of AI in healthcare", highlighting current developments and underlining the need for guidance in this field.

The case team meeting provided a strong foundation for the work ahead in the large number of confirmed new HI-NL tracks. Let’s keep the momentum going!

HI-NL case teams

HI-NL case teams consist of experienced HTA researchers. They carry out desk research to answer core questions in HI-NL trakcs: who the innovation is for, how these patients are currently treated, and what effects the innovation may have on outcomes and costs. Also mapping out the value the innovation may bring, identifying evidence gaps, and working closely with the innovator in preparation of the HI-NL Round Table session is part of their work.

After the Round Table session, the case team compiles the desk research and the outcomes of the Round Table session into a comprehensive innovation guide for the innovator.
