Subsidy Programs

There are a number of subsidy programs via which the costs associated with the HI-NL Round Table service can be (partially) covered. Below is an overview of these programs. Each program has its own requirements in terms of deadlines and eligibility. Please refer to the information provided via the links for details.

If you have specific questions about the HI-NL Round Table service in combination with these or other programs, please contact: info@healthinnovation.nl.

Health-Holland Match Call Program

The Top Sector Life Sciences & Health (Health~Holland) Match call program aims to help public-private partnerships comprising research organizations, knowledge institutes, companies, and health foundations realize their innovative ideas. Health~Holland and HI-NL collaborate to ensure that consortia funded through the Match Call program can make use of the HI-NL Round Table service. For more information click here.

More information on the program and upcoming deadlines is available on the Health~Holland website.

Health-Holland SME Call Program

The Top Sector Life Sciences & Health (Health~Holland) SME call program aims to engage and stimulate SMEs to develop sustainable innovative products and services within the LSH sector for the purpose of generating economic revenues.

Through this call, SMEs can receive subsidies under certain conditions to fund one existing or new R&D FTE working on an industrial public-private partnership project.

Additionally, the HI-NL Round Table service can be included in the project application, for which budget can be reserved. This service can be of added value for a project consortium to get an overall impression of how its innovation will fit into the healthcare or prevention landscape and to analyze what is needed to achieve this as early as possible.

More information on the current program, the application process, and upcoming deadlines is available on the Health~Holland website. For questions specially regarding HI-NL or the Round Table service, please contact info@healthinnovation.nl.

KWF Proof of Concept (PoC) Programme

The KWF Proof of Concept (PoC) programme supports researchers in taking essential next steps toward the practical implementation of promising innovations emerging from ongoing KWF-funded projects. Its aim is to ensure that valuable ideas do not stall after initial validation but continue to progress toward patient impact.

Within the PoC programme, project teams work in collaboration with their institution’s Technology Transfer Office (TTO) to develop a tailored development plan. This may include defining required validation steps, identifying relevant stakeholders, positioning the innovation within the healthcare landscape, and determining the technical, regulatory, or commercial expertise needed. PoC funding can be used to support these activities and to prepare the innovation for follow-up funding.

The HI-NL Round Table service can be incorporated into PoC projects to provide early insights into how an innovation fits within the care or prevention context, which stakeholders should be involved, and what conditions must be met for successful implementation. Budget for this service may be included in the PoC application.

More information on the programme, eligibility criteria, and submission deadlines is available on the KWF website

IMDI Call

The Innovative Medical Devices Initiative (IMDI) is a strategic Public-Private Partnership that was launched in 2010. The goal of IMDI is to develop and implement medical technology that reduces the workload of medical staff and fosters accessibility to care in home settings.

To achieve this, several subsidy calls are currently being issued. Innovators funded through this program can make use of the HI-NL Round Table service.

More information on the IMDI program and associated subsidy rounds is available on the ZonMw website (in Dutch).
